English Proficiency Grading
The results of GTEC are graded to a maximum score of 1000 points, which relate to increasing levels of English proficiency. Please refer to the charts below for a detailed breakdown:

Evaluation of Four Fundamental Skills
GTEC evaluates and assigns a score to each of the four fundamental skills. It indicates the relative level of proficiency for each skill. The chart below summarizes how individual scores translate into practical language ability according to the four language skills. Organizations often use proficiency level descriptors to determine language proficiency "benchmarks": minimum standards that their employees require to successfully carry out a job, function, or assignment when using English.
